This past week saw the start of the Johannesburg International Motor Show. Production cars. Concept cars. All being presented by eager manufacturers, who had pretty girls on their stands.

Pretty girls. Or were they?

Not according to Ian McLaren from Car magazine.

Yes, that’s right, this PHOTOGRAPHER (therefore he knows his shit) could not stop complaining about the ugly fat whores on display at this ~~motor~~ fashion show.

Let’s take a look at his tweet-by-tweet disgust with the wenches who dared to be chosen for their physical appearance.

Yes. With only one previous motor show, there sure is a trend to be followed here. But who am I to define what a trend is?

As we’ll soon learn, BMW’s stand failed to meet your impossibly high standards.

Now we start getting a clearer picture. You’re one of those “I live in a fashion capital therefore girls are inherently prettier”.

Hahaha! For somebody who supposedly doesn’t want something, you have strong opinions about how it should be done. Make up your mind. Either care, or don’t care. Don’t pretend not to care and look like a hypocrite by having strong opinions.

Eventually I did have enough of his creepy internet-male attitude and decided to reply.

Oh, right. So let’s break it down:

Geneva and Frankfurt are both huge international auto shows where the parent companies spend MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to exhibit their latest wares.

The Johannesburg Motor Show is a local effort, where manufacturers fund expensive stands out of their own budgets. Basically, Ian, the maths is really simple: bring in costly concept cars and the latest production vehicles, or bring in hot girls. One of these things is not like the other, in the context of a motor show.

I chose to leave the altercation at that. After all, you are Mr. GQ and you go home to your supermodel wife, I wouldn’t want one of your perfectly toned and sculpted calf muscles to deliver a perfect size eleven up my ass.

I went to the Jo’burg Motor Show. I saw some cool cars and did some work. I have no girlfriend or wife, and even I am not as shallow and obsessed with looks as this.
